At the end of the on-line Notification process, you will be provided with a Notification number and a Security Code. This also applies if you have completed the Notification process and SAVED IN DRAFT before submitting to the Commissioner for approval. PLEASE ENSURE YOU PRINT THIS PAGE OUT WHEN PROMPTED.  YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RE-ACCESS YOU NOTIFICATION WITHOUT YOUR NOTIFICATION NUMBER AND SECURITY CODE.      

The new system also includes the facility to pay your notification fee on-line using a secure payment service.

The new Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005, launched on 1st December 2005 sees the introduction of a new method of registration, now referred to as "Notification".

The new system enables businesses to Notify the Commissioner, as required by Law, by completing pre-set templates on-line, relevant to the type of business you are in. We recommend that you read the Notification Handbooks before you commence the Notification process, if doing so for the first time.

Please note that any current registrations in force under the 1987 Law will be required to Notify under the Data Protection (Jersey) 2005 Law when the 3 yearly renewal falls due. An invitation to notify will be sent in advance of the expiry date.
